If you are wondering how common divorce is, fear not! If you are getting a divorce, you are not alone! Here are the divorce statistics for each state in the United States. The national average for divorce is 3.4 divorces per year per 1000 people. For the entries below, the first entry has the highest divorce rate, the last entry the lowest. California, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Louisiana, and Minnesota do not have current statistics available. But for the rest of the country, see below.

1. Nevada: 6.7 divorces per year per 1000 people.

2. Arkansas: 5.7 divorces per year per 1000 people.

3. West Virginia: 5.2 divorces per year per 1000 people.

3. Wyoming: 5.2 divorces per year per 1000 people.

4. Idaho: 5.0 divorces per year per 1000 people.

5. Oklahoma: 4.9 divorces per year per 1000 people.

6. Kentucky: 4.6 divorces per year per 1000 people.

7. Alabama: 4.4 divorces per year per 1000 people.

7. Alaska: 4.4 divorces per year per 1000 people.

8. Colorado: 4.2 divorces per year per 1000 people.
