15 semi-easy states to get a divorce

From easiest to semi-easy, here are 15 states that make getting a divorce moderately easy.

1. Iowa: 

Cost: 185 dollars.

Time for processing: 90 days.

2. Connecticut:

Cost: 225 dollars.

Time for processing: 90 days.

Other: Common law divorce occurs with seven years of separation.

3. Kansas:

Cost: 180 dollars.

Time for processing: 120 days.

4. North Dakota:

Cost: 80 dollars.

Time for processing: 180 days.

Other: “Fault” divorce is relatively easy to get in North Dakota, as long as one partner has consistently refused to “have reasonable matrimonial intercourse.”

5. Washington:

Cost: 280 dollars.

Time for processing: 90 days.

Other: Residency is required, but is granted on the first day of residency.

6. New Mexico:

Cost: 137 dollars.

Time for processing: 180 days.

Other: New Mexico allows a civil suit against a spouse who has intercourse with another person.

7. Massachusetts:

Cost: 215 dollars.

Time for processing: 120 days.

Other: Residency is required, but there is no minimum time for residency.

8. Oklahoma:

Cost: 186 dollars.

Time for processing: 190 days.

Other: Fault divorce is granted if the wife was pregnant by another man at the time of the marriage.

9. Arizona:

Cost: 321 dollars.

Time for processing: 150 days.

Other: If the marriage is a covenant marriage, fault must be found to get a divorce.

10. Alabama:

Cost: 154 dollars.

Time for processing: 210 days.

11. Hawaii:

Cost: 175 dollars.

Time for processing: 210 days.

Other: Hawaii allows a civil suit against your spouses lover.

12. Ohio:

Cost: 175 dollars.

Time for processing: 210 days.

13. Georgia:

Cost: 218.50 dollars.

Time for processing: 210 days.

Other: Grounds for fault divorce include habitual intoxication.

14. Minnesota:

Cost: 402 dollars.

Time for processing: 180 days.

15. Colorado:

Cost: 230 dollars.

Time for processing: 180 days.
